I used to like Tim Burton. He managed to turn Michael Keaton into a badass in Batman (and Beetle Juice!), and Edward Scissorhands had its unique artistic charm. But lately, Burton has fallen so far off, I don't understand the carte blanche he seems to hold. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was like my worst nightmare come to life, and Alice in Wonderland seemed like he dunked his head in acid, then made a movie from his drug-induced visions. First of all, get a haircut. You're not fooling anyone, old man. Secondly, RDJ, things are supposed to be getting BETTER for you. Stop this nonsense and go back to projects like the great Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Who decided making a live action Pinocchio would be a good idea? Who is greenlighting these projects? I'm having a real internal debate about which movie I want to see less: Pinocchio or the live-action, board game based Battleship. At least Battleship might provide some mindless chaos (though I'm sure it will be a product placement-laden PG family fun fest) for a few laughs.

I'm still waiting for a movie based off Candy Land!!!! Hopefully it's coming soon after they make Battleship and Tic Tac Toe.
